This course examines, with particular emphasis on indigenous peoples in New Zealand, Australia and Canada, the impact of differential practices on inequalities and collective efforts to achieve social change. Examines early and contemporary theories and paradigms of international development, including modernisation and dependency theory, neoliberalism, human development, post-development, and participatory development.
