Learning Outcomes
- Determine and justify the appropriate use of market research techniques to support decision making in marketing management (Capability 3)
- Develop viable consumer insights by using fieldwork data meaningfully. (Capability 5.1)
- Review and appraise distinct consumer research frameworks and consumer behaviour theories and concepts in relation to marketing management. (Capability 1)
- Critically interpret market research findings into consumer insights that firms can use. (Capability 2, 4.1 and 4.3)

Workload Expectations
- Learning time (5 hours per week). Learning time includes: Plenary lectures (1.5 hours), Tutorials (2 hours), TBL workshops (2 hours). These activities involve: Delivery of learning content, Online and face-to-face discussion, Problem-solving, Provision of feedback from assessments
- Independent study (10 hours per week). Study includes: Revision of learning content, Readings, Online and face-to-face discussion, Preparing assessments, Group project work
- Optional but recommended (2 hours per week). Students are also expected to attend the additional Business Communication seminar hours designed to support their courses. Although these are not compulsory, they are considered core and are designed to enhance the learning process.

There is no required textbook for this course. However, for students who would like additional reading material for support, any consumer behaviour textbook can be used.
Required and recommended readings will be available via Reading Lists under each module on the Canvas page and in the Reading List module on Canvas.
The Reading List will be made available when the quarter begins.
Student Feedback
At the end of every semester students will be invited to give feedback on the course and teaching through a tool called SET or Qualtrics. The lecturers and course co-ordinators will consider all feedback and respond with summaries and actions.
Your feedback helps teachers to improve the course and its delivery for future students.
Class Representatives in each class can take feedback to the department and faculty staff-student consultative committees.
Digital Resources
Course materials are made available in a learning and collaboration tool called Canvas which also includes reading lists and lecture recordings (where available).
Please remember that the recording of any class on a personal device requires the permission of the instructor.
Academic Integrity
